I'm very safe in many respects, and yet I agree with her - maybe I'm more of a revolutionary than I thought! I have to say that I like the concept of Libraryland. And the power that together we can harness. I do feel tied professionally in that I'm not in a position of any 'power'. Except the power of the one to one discussion, where I help one person find what they need, or change their mind about what libraries are, or what can be done by individuals.
I know that this CPD program is giving me permission to continue to learn, to be challenged and, when I re-enter the workforce and am (hopefully) in a position of influence I won't shrink back but step up, stand up for what I believe in, and help build the future I think we should have.
